Get Ready for a Future in Medicine and Research!
ACRI is a two-week summer program for high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who want to explore careers in medicine and healthcare. Students gain hands-on experience with medical skills like CPR, suturing, and patient care, while also working on team research projects that strengthen their understanding of clinical studies and real-world healthcare challenges. The program helps build confidence, professionalism, and critical thinking—giving students a strong foundation for applying to medical and health-related college programs.
COHORT 1:June 2, 2025 – June 13, 2025 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM
COHORT 2: June 16, 2025 - June 27, 2025 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM
LOCATION: 118 Paseo del Prado, Edinburg, TX (Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance)
Cost: $1,500
Clinical Skills Training: Hands-on training in injections, suturing, blood draws, physical exams, wound care, prescription interpretation, pharmacy abbreviations, and vital sign assessment.
Certifications: Obtain certifications during our programs such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Stop the Bleed, and more.
Research Education: Gain knowledge of research protocols, Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes, informed consent, and manuscript development.
Immersive Tours: Take guided tours of Radiology, Orthopedics, and Laboratory services to explore diagnostic imaging, orthopedic procedures, and the role of labs in patient care.
